About
My name is Daniela Lapera, and I am a Spanish artist born and based in Madrid. Currently completing a Fine Arts degree, I have devoted much of my life to painting, while also exploring sculpture through materials such as alabaster, plaster, and metal.
I work from my studio in Madrid, where each piece is developed through a personal and hands-on process. My work spans a variety of subjects, from Spanish landscapes to commissioned pieces, but portraiture remains at the heart of my practice. I am particularly drawn to expressive faces, subtle emotions, and the stories that can be conveyed through a single gaze.
Alongside painting, my academic training has allowed me to experiment with different artistic disciplines and materials, enriching my understanding of form, texture, and composition. Whether working on a portrait, a landscape, or a sculptural piece, I am interested in creating works that communicate something beyond the image itself—something that evokes a feeling, a memory, or a moment of connection.
My work has been exhibited at ArtMuc Munich in May 2026, as well as in the upcoming International Contemporary Art Fair of Monaco in September 2026. In addition to my personal projects, I regularly create commissioned portraits for private collectors.
